This company (Texas Painting Co.) just finished painting the exterior of my home, and the adjacent rental property (duplex) in West Central Austin (Tarrytown area). I am VERY pleased with their work; they were highly professional, clean, responsive, and conscientious. I was especially impressed by the exceptionally good surface prep. work they did (scraping and sanding) -- as this is critical to any good paint job in my opinion. The owner of the company (Jeff) was always quick to return any phone call from me, and was genuinely concerned that all went well. I've been in real estate (property mgmt. and residential investment) for about 25 years, and have had many experiences with painters that have ranged from horrible to very good. Texas Paint Co. definitely ranks near the top (if not the best) that I've used. I strongly recommend them, and will call them for my next job. Unfortunately, I think paint fumes have impacted too many in the industry, so when a good painter comes along... Anyway, I suggest you give them a try (or at the very least, a call).

The work was incomplete and sloppy. The bathroom that was to be painted was only partially painted. Then, instead of completing that bathroom, they painted another bathroom. Finally the first bathroom was completed. But the linoleum floor work that was to be done was unacceptable. The owner never responded to me about that. The two day job was stretched out over ten days and was completed only after my Realtor intervened. Even then the workers left paint on the carpet, stain on the carpet, urine on the toilet and floor, and paint cans in the garage.
